Charity show or concert or bake sale or sponsorship or individual donations? gah! D:
Just an idea: We could go around to different businesses to help us sponsor one large event--be it a concert, or some show
I've done something along the same lines for a charity and received almost 200 dollars worth of gift cards- 50 from Superstore, 75 from Walmart and i forget where else--and that was all in 2 days. If we have a larger group of people, then we can split up and talk to managers at different locations and see where that takes us. We would need a legit proposal though.
I think a concert would be cool, with start up costs being the venue and just any equipment needed for performances. With that, we could sell things on the side (bake sale) and it will probably generate more $$ than a simple bake sale would ?
Yes, going around to different businesses for sponsorship sounds good and the idea of a bake sale with the concert sounds awesome! I think that would work. Usually people who play in bands can bring their own equipment. We can rent the rest. Its not too much as far as I know. We could even ask if they (the store) would like to sponsor us by letting us borrow the equipment.
