This project is our effort to help people who really need it. We're a small group of recent grads in Toronto and we aim to make a difference, however small or big.
We started this project when we were in school. The name 'Project Ichcha' was chosen to reflect our strong will to allocate solutions to global issues and our starting point - Bangladesh. ('Ichcha' means 'the will to do something' in Bengali). Some of the issues are poverty, child labor, provision of basic needs, like clean drinking water, sanitation, health care, food, human rights and equality, education, and environmental issues - Bangladesh has been facing all these problems for quite some time now.
This is not a school project. We started out as just a bunch of people looking for ways to help and turned it torecognized UofT student club set up as an umbrella group. We take on different projects aiming at different issues through out the year.
