Hey there :)
Welcome to the blog. If you don't know who we are and what we do please check the info section. We are currently look for some help abroad.
Through all the planning, our biggest issue has been that although we have the drive to help, my cousin and I, as well as all our friends who want to help do not reside in Bangladesh. Being university students we’re all a bit landlocked, and unable to stay in Bangladesh for more than a few weeks.
Once we find reliable and dedicated people, we hope to do a bunch of mini-projects like schools, training and living facilities and maybe even set up small businesses for those who really need it (kind of like a cross between charity and micro finance but without interest of course) - that way we can help reduce poverty, educate people and help put food on the table. Projects will also target other social causes like women oppression and child labor and other environmental issues.
This is a volunteer organization and every single dollar of all the charity we collect will go directly to the ones who need it, unlike most of those big organizations, who use up at least 80% of the funds in the name of 'administrative' costs. However, we are a bunch of undergrad students trying to make a difference half way across the globe so we do have limitations and thus we are looking for people from Bangladesh who care enough to help it through. Please let us know if you’re interested.
Best wishes,
Jamila
