January 2012 Events:
Winter Clubs' Fair 2012:
We took part in the UTSU Clubs Fair Day. We almost never had the booth empty and people were very interested in what we had to say. We had over 70 people sign up.
Bakesale - Eat for Charity
Our first ever proper event was a bake-sale and had ethnic food besides the generic sweet goodies. We had biryani, fuchka, aloo puri and lots of other yummy desi food. Again a great success! We completely sold out towards the end of the day.
February 2012 Events:
Twas the Day after Valentine's - Bakesale
This time we had everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to biryani to chocolate roses. The bakesale would've gone better if we didn't have to split customers with our competition one table down. Movie Night For a Cause
The movie night showcased Hugo - a movie that won 5 oscars with another 35 wins and 84 nominations. The turnout was great! Everything went smoothly and people left happy.
April 2012 Events:
Project Ichcha Supports the Aboriginal Mother-Child Bonding Initiative
Project Ichcha raised $62 for Save the Children's Initiative. All donations will go to improve Aboriginal children’s chances of survival and overall mental, physical, and behavioural development.
